I'm a filmmaker and writer living in New York City with my sexy boyfriend in the East Village, across the street from Katz's deli.

Lately I've been writing plays, sitcom pilots, screenplays, and trying to marinate my brain in political philosophy and interesting art.  My mission as of November 1 2007 is to only work on projects that reinvigorate people with the power to dream and the potential of hope. And I've started a regular meditation and yoga practice to begin eliminating the idea of ism's and borders from my own brain.

The more I learn about the world the more I realize that pretty much everyone who has access to the internet has a lifestyle filled with convenience and luxury beyond the imaginings of the average person two hundred years ago.

It begs the question - is it convenience and luxury for luxury's sake, or are our material needs provided for by the universe in so lavish a way to free us to work comfortably for more meaningful and spiritual pursuits?

I assume it is the latter, and so this begs the next question - if you haven't figured out why you are here on this planet at this time in this place, and aren't doing what you were put here to do, why the hell are you here?
